3 more days

Three more days and I will officially be a stay at home mom again! YAY! After 5 years, I am going to tackle it again. Being a part time sahm was a challenge. Homeschooling was the hardest part. I really miss the homemaker side of me. I'm sure it will be slow going trying to get back into the swing of things, but I've got my apron out and pressed and ready to swoop through the house on my trusty dyson! Life is good!

God is Good!

I was feeling kind of low because we hadn't done any type of vacation with the kids this summer. I started looking into some quick options yesterday and had semi-planned a day trip to a newly opened water park (Schlitterbaun). I was very excited. Then I looked on Craigslist for tickets at a discount. While I was there I not only found some discount tickets for that park, but for Silver Dollar City also! I got 6 SDC day tickets for a song! I am completely singing about it! The kids will be soooo excited. We haven't been there in about 4 years, so this will be a great day! I need to find a few more tickets so we can all go...but even if I can't find the discounts...one at full price is still better than 7!!!!!!!!! This is going to be a great day!

A fav cracker!!!

This isn't your average daily blog post. Completely off the cuff and spontaneous! Have you tried Ritz Flip Side crackers? Oh they are heavenly! Part ritz and part pretzel! I am just addicted to them! Especially good with cream cheese or a cheese ball. I don't know how they make them but I'm glad they do! Ingenious! So, I sit here munching on these new delicacies and wondering why I am blogging about crackers! I do suppose someone should do it! Since you can't get on facebook or twitter today, why not? I guess I could just go back to being productive around the house! The kids would like to go swimming too....sounds good to me!

Going Going Gone!

Why is it that a workday drags on, and even winter moves slowly, but summer is gone in a flash! I actually saw a store putting out Christmas merchandise!!! Not the ole "Christmas in July" that we used to see in stores, but a fixture of the season to come! But summer as we know it, is gone! Some of the local schools are ready to start classes next week! I don't usually go back until after Labor Day, but it is late this year so I'm going to break the norm and start at the end of August. The kids are less than excited. I always get a little giddy when it comes to school starting. There is just something about a new, fresh start. Although we hate to give up the later nights, the sleeping in the next morning and the fun in the sun & swimming pool, we must. With the changes I am implementing this year with a more "unified" school year, I think the kids will enjoy it. There just isn't much I can do about math....it's just the same as it has always been. All because God is a God of order and this is one area that he can show His perfection. There is only one answer to every problem. Isn't that thought provoking?
